In this thematic unit, we present the infrastructure of
existing urban services within the study area and its related effect on
the health and well-being of the population and on the environmental quality
of the City and its region.
To this end, we analyze the supply services for potable water and energy
(electric and gas), the collection of sewer and industrial effluents and
the collection of residual solids and their transportation, treatment, and
final disposal.
We identify the cycles that occur in the region in relation to the above-mentioned
services, identifying what is consumed, from where the resources are extracted,
what is produced and where the waste is disposed.
We identify the reasonable use of services, such as water and energy, as
well as the minimization and recycling of waste, as attitudes that align
with the sustainability of the environment.
